A Reddit user has shared how they turned the tables on a delivery driver who blocked their driveway, leaving the driver forced to reverse 300 metres in frustration. The incident occurred when the homeowner needed to leave urgently to collect documents from the town hall, but found their exit blocked by a delivery van parked next to the driveway.
The homeowner explained that their street is narrow, making parking on the road inadvisable. The delivery driver had parked his van close to the driveway, not blocking it directly but preventing the homeowner from exiting due to concrete walls. When asked to move, the driver refused, pointing to his hazard flashers as justification.
After the delivery was complete, the driver gestured for the homeowner to move back so he could drive forward. Instead, the homeowner switched off his engine and turned on his own hazard flashers, mirroring the driver's earlier behaviour. The driver, enraged, shouted profanities before being forced to reverse 300 metres.
The homeowner admitted being late for their appointment but said they 'couldn't stop grinning the whole day'. The story highlights the frustration of blocked driveways, a common issue in residential areas.
