The compact space includes a combined living area and kitchen, with a sink, small bar fridge, tiny bathroom, and adjoining shower. An open wooden wardrobe and bookshelf are also fitted. Basic amenities such as electricity, water, gas, and internet are included in the rent.
Photos of the property were shared on Facebook with the caption 'the word you're looking for is cell', sparking mixed reactions. Some users criticised the design, suggesting the owner had not bothered to paint the walls. Others defended the rental as good value for students or low-income earners, noting utilities are included.
Leasing agent Peng Zhao stood by the property's value, though he conceded the interior design might deter some renters. He described the look as deliberately 'industrial'.
