David Beckham has reportedly sold his Miami penthouse for $24.6 million (£19.7 million), making a profit of $4.8 million (£3.8 million) on the property. The former footballer, 50, purchased the apartment in 2020 for $19.8 million through his company, Beckham Brand Limited.
The home is located on the 59th floor of the One Thousand Museum building, designed by architect Zaha Hadid. It features floor-to-ceiling glass doors, a state-of-the-art gym, and a rooftop pool. The building is the only residential space in Miami with a helipad, situated above the penthouse. Facilities include an infinity pool, bar, spa, salon, and juice bar.
The sale adds to the Beckhams' extensive property portfolio, which includes a townhouse in Holland Park, London, and an estate in the Cotswolds, valued at around £73 million in total.
The deal comes amid reports of a family feud involving Beckham's son, Brooklyn, who made claims about his parents in a statement last month. Singer Marc Anthony, godfather to the Beckhams' son Cruz, commented on the situation, describing the family as 'wonderful' and calling the reports 'extremely unfortunate' and 'hardly the truth'.
