A homeowner renovating the kitchen of their 1916 house stumbled upon a hidden pantry, a discovery they described as exciting and shared with fellow house lovers on Reddit.

The homeowner, who had initially expected a simple patch job, found something unexpected while removing drywall in the basement. After a video call with their dad, they realized there was a patch floor that didn't make sense, prompting them to investigate further.
"To end the night, I decided to remove the Sheetrock (dry wall) to get a look and lo and behold there is an old pantry!" they wrote. "We obviously did not account for this in our initial plans, but I am dead set on reviving this corner and making use of it to add some original touches to the house, as over a 100 years of changing hands there isn't a ton of original things like this left."
