World Cup Final: Spain vs Argentina $50m Prize Money

Spain and Argentina are just 90 minutes away from becoming world champions when they meet on Sunday evening. The winning nation will not only earn football immortality, but also a bumper payday.

Record Prize Money for Champions

FIFA will hand the champions $50million (£37m), with the runners-up taking home $28.8m (£21.4m). That top prize is considerably larger than the $42m (£31m) Argentina received after lifting the trophy in Qatar in 2022.

Unprecedented Total Fund

The governing body has raised the tournament's overall prize pot to record levels for the 2026 edition. A total of $655m (£490m) will be distributed, an increase of 50 per cent compared with the last World Cup.
