May 2026 is shaping up to be a busy month for Netflix, with a wave of new releases spanning original series, films, documentaries, and licensed content. Among the highlights are the crime series Legends from Guilt creator Neil Forsyth, starring Steve Coogan; the adaptation of the novel Remarkably Bright Creatures, marking the screen return of Sally Field; and the second season of the hit comedy-drama The Four Seasons, which debuted in 2025.
Notable Premieres
A documentary on the life of Only Murders in the Building star Martin Short is also on the slate, alongside the intriguing new show The Boroughs. Produced by the Duffer brothers, the science-fiction series follows residents of a retirement community who battle an otherworldly threat that seeks to steal "the one thing they don't have… time." The cast includes Bill Pullman, Geena Davis, Clarke Peters, Alfred Molina, and Alfre Woodard.
Perhaps the most exciting addition is Everyone is Doing Great, a US coming-of-age comedy series that began in 2021. Its arrival is notable because it includes season two, which has never been streamed globally before. The show's synopsis reads: "Five years after the end of their hit TV vampire drama, Eternal, Seth and Jeremy lean on each other as they awkwardly navigate the perils of life and love."
