After Gordon moved to Barcelona for £69m, Everton earned at least £3.6m, with potential for more if bonuses were unmet.
Nathan Broadhead and Neal Maupay Deals
Last summer, Nathan Broadhead moved from Ipswich Town to Wrexham for a £10m package, with Ipswich making £6m profit on the fee they paid Everton. The Blues' 20% sell-on clause netted them £1.2m. Similarly, Neal Maupay's permanent move to Marseille triggered a £6m recoup, made possible by a contract extension before the loan, preventing a free transfer.
Missed Opportunities and Future Prospects
Everton missed out on cash boosts from Dobbin and Ben Godfrey, who left Atalanta for Rangers on loan rather than a permanent deal. However, Youssef Chermiti, who reunited with Godfrey at Rangers, has attracted interest from the Netherlands and France. Rangers are holding firm on their valuation, and if met, Everton could earn another seven-figure fee. A similar prospect looks unlikely for Amadou Onana, who suffered a serious injury on World Cup duty with Belgium.
