Santander is offering new customers £180 in cash for switching to its Edge account, along with a £30 Amazon voucher for those who act quickly. The promotion, highlighted by Money Saving Expert (MSE), aims to attract customers looking for a central bills account.
To qualify for the £180, customers must switch to the Santander Edge account. The cash is typically paid within 60 to 90 days. Additionally, the £30 Amazon voucher is available to those who switch via a specific link, with an email to claim the voucher sent after August 30, which must be redeemed within 30 days.
The Edge account charges a £3 monthly fee but offers 1% cashback on household bills paid by direct debit, up to £10 per month. MSE noted that for typical households, the cashback often covers the fee and more. For those with higher bills, the Santander Edge Up account, costing £5 per month, provides up to £15 monthly cashback on bills, with a minimum monthly pay-in of £1,500.
