Swansea City boss Vitor Matos has confirmed that Ollie Cooper is close to sealing another loan move away this summer.
Cooper's future has looked uncertain since the tail end of last season, despite his loan move at Wigan Athletic being ended prematurely by Matos in January. The Wales international made just one appearance for the Swans last season, a cameo off the bench in the win over Blackburn Rovers.
Agreement close
Speaking after the pre-season win over Leganes, Matos said: "I think he's at an age where he needs to play. There's an agreement between clubs for a loan but it's still not confirmed, so when it is confirmed we will speak about it."
WalesOnline understands Cooper's next destination is likely to be in League One. With his contract up next summer, it seems likely he has played his last game for the Swans.
Several departures
Liam Cullen, Sam Parker, Ethan Galbraith, Ricardo Santos and Joel Ward have all left, while Cameron Congreve looks set to complete a permanent move to Belgian side Westerlo.
There may yet be further departures on the horizon, with Florian Bianchini's future still up in the air. The winger watched the 1-0 win over Leganes from the stands on Saturday but wasn't included in the pre-season trip to Austria. As things stand, there doesn't appear to be anything imminent in terms of a move away.
Ronald interest
Matos has also confirmed there hasn't yet been any serious interest in Brazilian winger Ronald, who has recently been linked with Premier League side Coventry City as well as sides in Brazil.
"So far, there's nothing," Matos added.
