Players in eight postcode areas across the North East have each won £1,000 in this week's People's Postcode Lottery draws. The winning postcodes were selected between Saturday, August 29th and Friday, September 4th.
The winning areas span from Westerhope to Stockton-on-Tees to Chester-le-Street. No one won a large prize in the region on Saturday's draw, but winners were still selected across the region throughout the week.
How the Postcode Lottery Works
The People's Postcode Lottery charges participants £12.50 per month, using their full home postcode as their entry. A minimum of 30% of the ticket price goes directly to charities and local community projects.
Since 2005, players have raised more than £950 million for over 9,000 charities and good causes. With daily £1,000 draws, weekly Saturday prizes, and multi-million-pound shared pots, there are plenty of chances for people in the North East to win each week.
