MoneySavingExpert (MSE), founded by Martin Lewis, has warned consumers that time is running out to claim a free £50 Amazon voucher. The offer, available through Santander, requires customers to open a new account and meet certain conditions before the deadline.
The Santander Edge, Edge Up, Edge Explorer, or Everyday Current Account holders can receive the voucher by making ten debit card transactions of at least £5 each during May, June, and July 2025. The application deadline is 1pm on April 30, 2025.
MSE highlighted the Santander Edge account as a top choice for ongoing cashback, offering 1% cashback on bills paid by Direct Debit (capped at £10 per month), a 6% linked savings account up to £4,000, and fee-free overseas spending, for a £3 monthly fee. Successful applicants will receive instructions on how to claim the voucher by September 15.
However, the offer is not available to those who have already received a similar voucher or a switch bonus from Santander in the past 12 months. Customers can also opt for a £180 cash switch bonus instead of the voucher by switching their main account to Edge or Edge Up.
MSE recommends opening a second account to claim perks without switching, potentially earning hundreds of pounds in cashback and rewards annually. The deadline for the Amazon voucher is strict, with no extensions expected.
