Martin Lewis' MoneySavingExpert (MSE) has issued a 'last chance' alert for consumers to secure a 'free £50' Amazon voucher. The offer, provided by Santander, requires customers to open a qualifying current account and make ten debit card transactions of at least £5 each during May, June, and July.

The deadline is 1pm on Thursday, 30 April. MSE shared the news on X, stating: "Fancy an easy, free £50 Amazon voucher? It's your last chance to nab it via this bank account (no need to switch). The offer ends at 1pm on Thursday 30 April – here's how you can claim the freebie."
Eligible Accounts
The offer applies to the Santander Edge, Edge Up, Edge Explorer, or Everyday Current Account. MSE highlights the Santander Edge as a top choice for ongoing cashback on household bills. For a £3 monthly fee, account holders receive 1% cashback on bills paid by Direct Debit, a 6% linked saver up to £4,000, and fee-free overseas spending.
How to Claim
Successful applicants will receive an email with instructions to claim their voucher by September 15. However, the offer is not available to customers who have already received a similar voucher or switch bonus from Santander in the past 12 months.
Alternative Rewards and Tips
Consumers interested in the voucher should act quickly before the deadline. MSE also suggests that customers could open a second account to claim perks without switching their main account, potentially earning hundreds of pounds in cashback and rewards each year.
Santander Requirements
To qualify for the Santander Edge current account, customers must:
- Pay a £3 monthly fee
- Deposit at least £500 each month
- Have two active Direct Debits
- Be over 18 and a permanent UK resident
Cashback on bills such as broadband, TV, water, energy, and Council Tax is capped at £10 per month. Alternatively, customers switching to the Edge or Edge Up from another bank can receive £180 cash instead of the £50 voucher.
