Noussair Mazraoui has signed with new agency Panthera, according to reports, amid ongoing transfer speculation linking the Manchester United defender with a move to AC Milan.
Amorim Reunion Hinges on Two Factors
New AC Milan boss and former United head coach Ruben Amorim is keen on a reunion with the Morocco international. The Serie A club are in the market for a wing-back to play Amorim's preferred 3-4-3 formation, with Mazraoui viewed as an ideal candidate.
Reports in Italy claim Milan would make a move if United signal they are open to selling. There are also concerns about what role Mazraoui would play in Amorim's system, having featured as a centre-half under the Portuguese coach at Old Trafford.
Mazraoui's Season and Carrick's Praise
The 28-year-old made 20 appearances for United last season, missing a large chunk for the African Cup of Nations. After returning, he struggled to regain his place but eventually impressed then-interim head coach Michael Carrick.
"Yeah he’s come back well, Nous," Carrick said. "It was a difficult one, obviously, on the back of the final and how it panned out. He had a few days to digest that then back in and around it. He’s been fantastic in and around the group and around training."
