Tom Brady has unveiled his first RaceBird after becoming the owner of an E1 electric boat racing team, further expanding his business empire since retiring from the NFL in 2022.
Team Brady shared an image on social media, declaring: "We're all in. Team Brady's first ever RaceBird is ready for the 2024 E1 World Championship." The E1 Racing Series is a brand-new all-electric boat racing circuit, making stops at major cities including Rotterdam, Venice, Jeddah, Miami, Budapest, and Monaco. It is the first electric raceboat championship approved by the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM), the governing body for powerboating.
Brady's RaceBird will make its debut in the championships this year, adding to his ownership of five different teams across various sports. After his NFL career, which included seven Super Bowl victories, Brady has invested in a host of sports ventures. He now resides in Florida and has taken on the role of minority owner with the Las Vegas Aces, a WNBA team.
Brady also bought a stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, effectively ending any chance of returning as a player. In addition, he invested in a pickleball team and became part-owner of English football club Birmingham City FC, having been spotted at two games since joining in August.
With his earnings from football and investments, Brady's net worth is reported to be just over $300 million, expected to increase significantly due to his projects outside sport. He will also become a major analyst at Fox Sports after signing a 10-year, $350 million deal, starting in the 2024 NFL season.
