Harry Kane’s transfer to Bayern Munich has pushed his personal wealth beyond £100 million, according to reports. The England captain completed a £100 million move from Tottenham Hotspur to the German champions in August 2023, making him one of the most valuable players in the world. His new contract, combined with endorsements and investments, has reportedly taken his net worth to over £100 million for the first time.
Kane’s move to Bayern ended his 19-year association with Tottenham, where he became the club’s all-time leading scorer. The 30-year-old striker had been keen to win silverware and compete in the Champions League, ambitions he felt he could not fulfil at Spurs. The transfer was completed after a tense 48-hour period, with Kane admitting he was unsure if the deal would go through.
“It was a rollercoaster,” Kane said. “I didn’t know if it was going to happen. But I’m happy to be here now and focused on helping this team win titles.” His debut in the DFL-Supercup ended in a 3-0 defeat to RB Leipzig, but he is expected to play a key role in Bayern’s quest for domestic and European success.
Kane’s wealth is bolstered by a lucrative contract with Bayern, reported to be worth around £400,000 per week, as well as sponsorship deals with brands such as Nike and EA Sports. He also has property investments in the UK. Despite his financial success, Kane remains focused on football, saying he has “plenty of football left” and hinting at a possible return to the Premier League to break Alan Shearer’s goal record.
His wife Kate, who is pregnant with their fourth child, has been supportive of the move. Kane said: “She wants the best for me and my career. We made the decision together.” The family will split their time between Munich and London, with a decision yet to be made on where the baby will be born.
