British Ticket Holder Wins £34 Million EuroMillions Jackpot

A British ticket holder has won the £34 million EuroMillions jackpot in Friday's draw, becoming the eighth UK winner of the top prize this year and the fourth this month.

The winning main numbers were 05, 08, 14, 22, and 32. Camelot, the National Lottery operator, confirmed the win and noted that earlier in September, three UK players shared a EuroMillions jackpot.

Andy Carter, senior winners' adviser at the National Lottery, said: 'This year has been incredible for UK players of EuroMillions.' A spokesman added: 'Britain have been doing brilliantly and we would encourage everyone to check their tickets.'

Last month, a family from Monmouth in Wales won £61.1 million after mother Sonia Davies, 53, decided to buy a ticket while recovering from a tumour operation. She, her daughter Stephanie, 23, Stephanie's boyfriend Steve Powell, 30, sister Courtney, 19, and partner Keith Reynolds, 55, hit the jackpot with one of six lucky dip tickets.
