The EuroMillions jackpot has rolled over for a record 20th time after no ticket matched all five main numbers and two Lucky Stars in Friday night's draw. The estimated jackpot for Tuesday's draw is now £169 million, which would make a UK winner richer than singer Adele.
Although the top prize went unclaimed, two UK players became multi-millionaires by matching five numbers and one Lucky Star. They are among four ticket holders across Europe who will each receive £3,530,286. The winning numbers were 46, 43, 41, 37 and 24, with Lucky Stars 08 and 02.
National Lottery senior winners' adviser Andy Carter urged players to get their tickets early for Tuesday's draw, which could create the country's biggest ever winner. If the eventual winner is from the UK, they would claim the largest lottery win in British history, surpassing Colin and Chris Weir's £161 million prize from 2011.
Friday's draw also created another UK millionaire via the EuroMillions Millionaire Maker code, and eight players won £52,469 each for matching four numbers. In the Thunderball, five players won £5,000 each, but no one won the top EuroMillions HotPicks prize.
