Outgoing Manchester United midfielder Casemiro is set to join Inter Miami this summer on a two-year deal worth £600,000 a week, according to reports. The Brazilian, who currently earns £350,000 a week at Old Trafford, will more than double his wages at the MLS club co-owned by David Beckham.
Casemiro, 34, announced his intention to leave United earlier this year and had been linked with Saudi Arabian clubs Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr. However, he preferred a move to the United States for family reasons. United are expected to let him leave on a free transfer, having paid £70 million for him in August 2022.
Meanwhile, United's qualification for next season's Champions League has triggered a 25 per cent pay rise for some players, including captain Bruno Fernandes. Fernandes will now earn an estimated £250,000 a week, making him the club's highest earner. Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire are also set to benefit from the pay hike.
Casemiro has scored nine goals this season and has been key for interim boss Michael Carrick. United are eyeing replacements such as Nottingham Forest's Elliott Anderson, Brighton's Carlos Baleba, or Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton.
