Barclays has confirmed that its £200 switching offer for new current account customers has now ended, with the deadline for applications passing on May 28. The promotion, which provided the incentive to those switching to a Barclays Bank Account, is no longer available.
The bank has not yet announced any new cash incentive schemes, but a spokesperson stated: 'We regularly review our products and offers to make sure they meet the needs of our customers, and we'll continue to assess opportunities in this space.' When asked about factors influencing such promotions, Barclays added: 'We keep our propositions under constant review, listening closely to customer feedback and considering a range of factors to ensure we're providing competitive and compelling options.'
In related news, Barclays also clarified its debit card renewal policy after a customer inquiry. The bank confirmed that debit cards are sent out five weeks before the current card expires, and delivery can take up to seven working days. Customers can check their card details via the Barclays app by selecting 'Your cards' on the home screen, which displays all registered cards and management options.
