Georgia Godwin, 28, led Australia to victory in the women's artistic gymnastics final, winning gold on the uneven bars. She went on to become Australia's most decorated female gymnast at these Games after competing in the floor exercise final.
Gymnastics medals and records
Kate McDonald won two gold medals at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, including a performance in the women's uneven bars final. Breanna Scott finished the Games with three medals, two of them gold, after competing on the balance beam. James Hardy secured three bronze medals and took part in the men's rings final.
Athletics highlights
Rose Davies and Jessica Hull secured a one-two finish for Australia in the women's 5,000m final. Sarah Billings claimed Australia's first women's 800m bronze in 36 years. Nina Kennedy missed out on gold in the women's pole vault by the narrowest of margins. Isaac Beacroft, described as a teenage sensation, won gold in the men's 10,000m race walk. Lara Roberts took bronze in the women's hammer throw. Torrie Lewis advanced through the 200m semi-finals and finished sixth in the final. Cara Feain-Ryan competed in the 3,000m steeplechase, and Cameron McEntyre threw in the men's javelin final. Para-athlete Layla Sharp won silver in the women's long jump T38, while Mikaela Dingley competed in the women's 1,500m T54 final re-run.
Swimming and aquatics
Alex Perkins won gold in the women's 100m butterfly, while Brittany Castelluzzo finished fourth in the same event. Col Pearse reached the final of the men's 100m butterfly S10, where he competed against Canada's Fernando Lu and Australia's Alex Saffy. Kyle Chalmers swam in the mixed 4x100m freestyle relay final.
Team sports and other events
In netball, goal shooter Sophie Garbin featured in Australia's Pool A match against England at the Hydro. The men's para wheelchair basketball team defended their Commonwealth title, with Eithen Leard facing England's Peter Cusack in the gold medal match. Australia's women's wheelchair basketball team finished third after beating Canada for a second time, having also won their pool match.
Joshua Katz took silver in the men's 60kg judo final, losing to India's Harsh Singh, and was comforted by his coach and older brother Nathan. Boxer Emma-Sue Greentree prepared to fight England's Mary Kate Smith in the women's 75kg semi-final. Weightlifter Ridge Barredo was forced to withdraw from the men's 110kg final after suffering a severe right knee injury on a 190kg attempt. In cycling, Australia's team of Blake Agnoletto, Oliver Bleddyn, Conor Leahy and James Moriarty lost to England in the men's 4,000m team pursuit.
