Trump wins club and senior titles at his own golf course with 70
Trump claims 70 at own golf course for double win

Donald Trump has won both the club and senior championships at his Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, with a reported two-under-par round of 70.

The US president, an avid golfer, secured the double victory on the course where par is set at 72. Footage shared online shows the moment of triumph, with opponents politely clapping as he stood in front of the club leaderboard.

The score adds to a tally of more than 40 victories across the golf courses he owns. The reported 70 comes almost 12 months after the White House published a scorecard showing a three-under 69 at the same annual tournament in 2025, a win by 10 gross strokes.

Golf attire on duty

Trump was later seen visiting troops in New Jersey while still wearing his golfing attire, including a golf glove, as he greeted military personnel. Oner wrote on X: "He wears his golf shoes and driving glove wherever he goes, I'm guessing....???"

He has also been quick to boast about his ability, saying in the past: "I've played a lot, and I've played well. There are very few people who can beat me in golf."

Yet his track record at his own courses has repeatedly drawn skepticism from critics and sports journalists. Sportswriter Rick Reilly, author of a book on Trump's golf habits, once said: "When it comes to cheating, he's an 11 on a scale of one to 10."

Iran strikes called off

Trump's round came shortly after he announced he had called off strikes on Iran, saying the halt was "subject to being able to rapidly make a DEAL" with the Islamic regime.

On Truth Social, he wrote: "We remain locked and loaded to launch an attack," adding that he halted the strikes in hopes of reaching a peace deal.

He also threatened to unleash "power not seen since World War II", saying: "We have just been asked by Iran, and other Middle Eastern Countries, to hold off any attack in that the perimeters of a deal has been agreed to."

He added: "This would include the Immediate, Complete, and Total OPENING OF THE HORMUZ STRAIT, and an end to Iran's nuclear threat."

"Based on this request, I have agreed, for the future benefit of the WORLD and, likewise, the survival of a successful and prosperous Iran, to cancel the attack, subject to being able to rapidly make a DEAL. The Country of Israel joins me in this commitment."
