A new study has identified the professions most likely to engage in infidelity, with bankers and brokers topping the list. The research, conducted by dating website Victoria Milan, surveyed over 5,000 women who have cheated or are currently cheating on their partners.
According to the poll, bankers and brokers are the biggest love cheats, followed by pilots and flight attendants, and then doctors and nurses. The survey also found that two-thirds of unfaithful women (65%) cheat at work, though 85% do not recommend sleeping with a colleague.
The positive aspects of workplace affairs, according to respondents, include making work more exciting, fun, and easier. The workplace is also seen as the easiest place to find a connection and to hide the affair. However, nearly 70% of women cited the potential for a bad ending and having to continue working with the person as the most negative aspect.
More than one in five (21%) said that office rumours increase the chance of a partner finding out, while only 10% were concerned about career damage. Sigurd Vedal, founder and CEO of Victoria Milan, commented: “The survey clearly shows that even though there’s a risk to your career, having an affair at work makes life a lot more pleasant.”
