Co-op Bank launches investigation after ex-chairman filmed allegedly buying drugs

The Co-operative Bank has launched an investigation following allegations that its former chairman, Paul Flowers, was filmed purchasing drugs.

Mr Flowers apologised over the weekend after the Mail on Sunday published video footage that purportedly shows him engaging in a drug deal.

He has been suspended from both the Labour Party and the Methodist Church, where he serves as a minister.
