A wealthy family is seeking a live-in dog companion and estate assistant, offering a salary of £60,000 along with a rent-free cottage on a Surrey estate. The role, advertised by Achieve Hospitality, is full-time from Sunday to Thursday, 9am to 6pm, with flexibility when the family is in residence.
The primary responsibility is caring for the family dog, including feeding, grooming, maintaining its daily routine, and monitoring its health and behaviour. The successful candidate will also keep a daily diary of the dog's activities and accompany it to vet, groomer, and trainer appointments.
In addition to dog care, the role involves acting as a guardian of the property, receiving deliveries, reporting maintenance issues, and performing light tasks such as running errands, reheating chef-prepared meals, and tidying the kitchen. It is not a full-time housekeeping position.
The ideal candidate should be warm, calm, dependable, and passionate about dogs.
