The Met Office's long-range forecast indicates that high pressure will remain in place for much of the UK, bringing continued fine weather. There may be occasional spells of rain in northern parts due to low pressure, but generally fair weather will dominate. Temperatures are expected to remain above normal, feeling very warm at times with light winds.
This heatwave is a welcome change for many Brits, but it is important to stay hydrated and protect against the sun's rays. The warm spell is expected to last for several days, bringing summer-like conditions to the country.
