Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny have been named Spotify's most-streamed artists of all time, nearly two decades after the platform launched. The recognition comes as part of Spotify's "At 20: The Most Streamed Music, Podcasts, and Audiobooks Of All Time" list.
Taylor Swift's Achievements
Swift secured the top artist spot following a landmark year that included the release of her 12th studio album, The Life Of A Showgirl. The album topped the UK charts and was declared the best-selling global album of 2025 by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. This release marked her first since announcing her engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce in August, a year that also saw her regain control of her back catalogue in May. Her single "Opalite," reportedly inspired by Kelce, reached number one on the UK singles chart, with its music video featuring cameos from The Graham Norton Show guests, including Cillian Murphy, Lewis Capaldi, and Domhnall Gleeson.
Bad Bunny's Historic Feats
Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, led the most-streamed albums of all time list with his 2022 record Un Verano Sin Ti. He had a triumphant year, releasing his sixth studio album Debi Tirar Mas Fotos and making history at the Grammys as the first artist to win Album of the Year for a record sung entirely in Spanish. He also headlined the Super Bowl half-time show, which became the fourth most-watched performance in the United States.
Top Artists and Albums
Following Swift and Bad Bunny, The Weeknd ranked third, Canadian rapper Drake fourth, and pop superstar Ariana Grande fifth. The Weeknd dominated the most-streamed albums list with three entries: Starboy at number two, After Hours at number five, and Beauty Behind the Madness at number 20. Ed Sheeran's Divide Deluxe placed third, and Olivia Rodrigo's debut Sour came fourth.
Most-Streamed Songs
The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" topped Spotify's most-streamed songs of all time, followed by his collaboration with Daft Punk, "Starboy," at number four. Ed Sheeran's "Shape Of You" ranked second, The Neighbourhood's "Sweater Weather" third, and Harry Styles's "As It Was" fifth.
Podcasts and Audiobooks
In the podcast realm, The Joe Rogan Experience was named the most-streamed podcast of all time. For audiobooks, Sarah J Maas's romantasy novel A Court of Thorns and Roses became Spotify's most-streamed audiobook in premium.
