Strictly Come Dancing 2026: Pros and Judges Confirmed

Strictly Come Dancing is set to return to television screens this autumn, and the professional dancers for the 2026 season have been confirmed following a significant shake-up. The BBC has announced which dancers will be returning to the ballroom, alongside a panel of judges that remains unchanged from previous years.

Returning Professionals

The following professional dancers will be back on the dancefloor later this year: Dianne Buswell, Julian Caillon, Amy Dowden, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Jowita Przystał, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Alexis Warr, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, and Vito Coppola. This lineup includes many familiar faces, but there have been several notable departures in recent months.

Departures and New Additions

The latest departure is Spanish professional Gorka Marquez, a firm favourite with viewers. He joins other beloved dancers who will not be returning, including Luba Mushtuk, Michelle Tsiakkas, Karen Hauer, and Nadiya Bychkova. The BBC has confirmed that new professional dancers will join the cast, but their names will be announced closer to the show's return.

Judging Panel

The judging panel remains unchanged for the new series. Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, and head judge Shirley Ballas will all return to offer their expert critiques and scores each week.

New Hosts and Themed Weeks

Following the shock departure of long-time hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, the BBC will introduce new presenters for the 2026 series. However, the network has not yet revealed who will take over, stating that the announcement will be made at a later date.

Popular themed weeks will also return, including Movies, Icons, Halloween, and Musicals. The Instant Dance challenge, which made its energetic debut in 2025, will be back as well. The annual visit to the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom will remain a highlight of the season.
