Our Yorkshire Farm's Reuben Owen, 21, rescued after 4x4 sinks in bog

Reuben Owen, star of Channel 5's Reuben Owen: Life In The Dales, was forced to call for help after his new three-tonne 4x4 became stuck in a bog. The 21-year-old, who rose to fame on Our Yorkshire Farm, was driving across the family's 2,000-acre Ravenseat Farm in Swaledale when the vehicle sank.

Despite warnings from his crew, Reuben insisted on taking the cruiser off-road, saying: 'What the hell is going to happen?' The vehicle quickly became trapped, with Reuben admitting: 'I just felt us go very low, very fast!' Attempts to push the car out failed.

He eventually called his younger brother Miles for rescue, saying: 'We are stuck - would you come and rescue me please?' With a collective effort, the team managed to free the vehicle. The incident was shown in the latest episode of his series.

Reuben later reflected on his business growth: 'This year brings us to the fourth year in business and it's been great fun. I never thought I'd end up with my mates and brothers working for me.'
