Oprah Winfrey's podcast is moving to Amazon under a multiyear agreement between her production company, Harpo Entertainment, and Amazon-owned Wondery. The deal grants Wondery exclusive distribution and advertising rights for The Oprah Podcast.
Starting this summer, the podcast will expand to two new episodes per week. Wondery will handle distribution of both audio and video content across Amazon's platforms, including Prime Video, Amazon Music, Fire TV Channels, and Audible. The podcast will also remain available on YouTube and other platforms.
Amazon has also secured rights to the extensive library of The Oprah Winfrey Show, which aired from 1986 to 2011, as well as her book club and Favorite Things franchises. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
Winfrey, who launched her podcast in December 2024, said hosting the show 'allows me to continue the work I feel called to do – opening the door for conversations that matter.' She added that expanding its reach 'is an opportunity I embrace.'
The move places Winfrey's podcast alongside other celebrity-led shows on Amazon, such as New Heights featuring NFL stars Travis and Jason Kelce, which Wondery secured in 2024.
