Trump approval sinks to record low among Republicans in stunning Fox News poll

President Donald Trump's approval rating among Republicans has fallen to a record low, according to a new Fox News poll released on Thursday. The survey, conducted by the Trump-friendly network, found a seven-point rise in the number of GOP voters who disapprove of his handling of the economy.

Only 36 percent of non-MAGA Republican respondents approve of his economic record, compared with 74 percent of MAGA Republicans. Overall, Trump's approval on the economy stands at just 29 percent, a five-point drop from a month ago.

Inflation remains a weak point: only 24 percent of Americans approve of his handling of it, despite it being the top issue for voters in the 2024 election. Among Republicans, 51 percent disapprove of his handling of inflation, while 85 percent of Independents and 96 percent of Democrats also disapprove.

Trump's overall approval rating is 39 percent, with 61 percent disapproving. This is a three-point drop since last month and ten points lower than at the start of his second term. The decline is driven by drops among key groups, including rural white voters (down six points) and white men without college degrees (down five points).

The poll also highlights concerns over high gas prices amid Trump's conflict with Iran, with 96 percent saying gas prices are a problem and 75 percent calling them a major problem. A staggering 91 percent blame Trump's decision to go to war with Iran for the high prices.
