Former Chelsea winger Pat Nevin has revealed that he recommended Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to the Blues years ago, but his advice was ignored. Now, he believes the Georgian star would be the perfect addition for Arsenal.
Speaking to Grosvenor Casinos, Nevin said: 'I remember three or four years ago trying to tell the whole world there's a guy that's going to be one of the best players in the world called Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and I was getting ignored. I tried to tell Chelsea.'
Nevin, 62, described the 25-year-old as 'the perfect Arsenal player' and his 'favourite player to watch'. Arsenal are reportedly in the market for a left-winger, with Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard struggling for consistency.
Kvaratskhelia, currently valued at £78million, scored 19 goals and provided 12 assists in 48 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain this season. Despite his father dismissing exit rumours last month, speculation persists that he could leave the French capital.
Nevin also praised PSG's style under Luis Enrique, calling them his 'favourite team in world football just now'. Arsenal may need to look elsewhere for a left-winger after Anthony Gordon's £70m move to Barcelona.
