Beth Mead to Leave Arsenal After Nine Years at Club

England forward Beth Mead is set to leave Arsenal at the end of the season after nine years, having made 265 appearances and scored 86 goals since joining from Sunderland in 2017.

Accomplishments at Arsenal

During her time at Arsenal, Mead was instrumental in the club's success, winning the Women’s Super League, three League Cups, and the Women’s Champions League after registering an assist in last season's final. Mead also achieved significant international acclaim with the Lionesses, securing two European Championships, and was awarded the Golden Boot and Player of the Tournament at the historic Euro 2022.

Next Steps

Her departure follows the conclusion of her contract, and she is strongly rumoured to be moving to Manchester City, the club of her partner and former Arsenal teammate Vivianne Miedema. Arsenal has also confirmed that Laia Codina and Victoria Pelova will be leaving the club alongside Mead at the end of the season, with Mead's final home game scheduled against Everton.
