Netflix's upcoming reality series Earle Meets World will follow social media star Alix Earle and her family in an unfiltered look at her life, with all eight episodes arriving on September 4.
The series, described as a "messy" and "insane" family affair, promises to show moments the influencer would never have posted herself. Alix, dubbed Gen-Z's ultimate It Girl, shot to fame with "Get Ready With Me" videos on TikTok while studying at the University of Miami, and now boasts nearly 6 million Instagram followers.
What is Earle Meets World about?
According to the synopsis, audiences will witness whether Alix can juggle her expanding business empire while remaining the authentic, twenty-something, hot mess that America became smitten with. Her "brand of frank mayhem" is now transitioning from social feeds to the Netflix queue, with nothing off-limits.
The 25-year-old routinely revealed details of her private life in her early videos, and this show is set to go even further. "My relationship with my followers has always felt really personal because I've been sharing my life the same way I would with my best friends With this show, I want it to feel like you're even more in it with me, in a way that's real and not curated," Alix explained.
Alix Earle's family joins the cast
The series won't just follow Alix - her entire extended family is part of the show. The confirmed cast includes her dad, TJ, and his wife, Ashley, along with their children, Izabel, Penelope, and Thomas. Also appearing are Alix's mum, Alisa, and her boyfriend, Todd, plus her sister and fellow influencer Ashtin. Rounding out the roster is Sally, Alix's devoted best friend since childhood.
Alix acknowledged the family adds a unique dynamic. "We're a fun, modern family, and people either think we're insane or they're like, 'Wait, this is exactly like my life' - and honestly, both are true," she said.
Alix on letting her guard down
Alix admitted to feeling anxious about the level of access the show provides. Chatting to Netflix's Tudum website, she revealed: "I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a little scary. I'm so used to being in control of what I share and what I keep private, so having cameras around in moments I normally wouldn't post is definitely an adjustment. But the real, human moments are what connected me to my audience in the first place. If letting people in even more makes someone feel less alone - or even just makes them laugh - then it's worth it."
She added: "The goal is not to be someone different on camera. It's to show more of who I already am and who my family really is. The fun, the messy, the growth, while capturing the way we help each other through it all."
Earle Meets World is streaming on Netflix from September 4.
