Love Island bosses have announced that applications for Series 14 are now open, just hours before the live final of the current series, which airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
Elimination twist ahead of final
Last night (July 26), former Islanders returned to vote on which couple didn't deserve a place in the final. Mica and Samraj received the most votes and were eliminated. In an unprecedented twist, they were tasked with eliminating another couple, with the result to be revealed during the final.
Casting call for Series 14
Lifted Casting posted on Instagram: "All future Islanders please step forward. Applications for series 14 are now open! Head to @liftedcasting to apply." The post has received over 47,000 likes.
The application process states: "ITV2 and ITVX are looking for vibrant singles from across the UK who are looking for love in the sun! The chosen cast will spend time in a luxury villa, getting to know one another, but to remain in paradise they must win the hearts of the public and their fellow Islanders who ultimately decide their fate on Love Island. If you think you've got what it takes, then we want to hear from you!"
Fans demand normal singles
Ahead of the new series, fans have urged producers to avoid selecting influencers. On X, one viewer wrote: "Okay so next year I need girls who can think for themselves and NO INFLUENCERS PLS for the love of god." Another said: "Producers need to stop bringing in friends or family of influencers/celebrities. It's so boring to watch. Bring in normal people with normal lives."
One viewer added: "#LoveIsland they need to stop letting influencers or friends of ex islanders because they have no chat whatsoever it's like nepo island."
The Love Island final airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
