Fans of EastEnders were left gobsmacked by the prices at the iconic chicken shop McKlunky's during Monday's episode (July 27).

Cheap prices spark disbelief

The menu board revealed that six chicken nuggets cost just £3.50, a chicken burger £3.75, and spicy wings and chips £5.50. Viewers on a Facebook fan page expressed shock, with one saying: "Can we all just focus on these prices." Another added: "I did the same thing. Paused the TV to see the prices."

Fans recall flashback prices

A third fan commented: "It's back to the 80s lol .. flashback prices." A fourth wrote: "That cheap for London." Others echoed similar sentiments, with one noting: "I know I was looking at that and thought how come so cheap."

McKlunky's history

The takeaway first opened in 2012 by owner Nico Papadopoulos (Aykut Hilmi) and has been a staple for Walford residents. In the episode, George Knight (Colin Salmon) met Lenny Brown (Johnson Willis) to discuss his late father Eddie's funeral arrangements.
