Betsy was rushed to hospital after suffering a serious stroke that left her unable to speak clearly. It was revealed that her condition was due to experimenting with non-fatal strangulation with boyfriend Dylan. Recriminations flew, and Dylan found himself treated like a violent criminal by Betsy's family and friends.
Who attacked Dylan?
Three suspects have strong motives: Betsy's mother Lisa Connor-Swain, Dylan's best friend Brody Michaelis, and Betsy's best friend Lauren Bolton. Lisa, a detective, laid responsibility at Dylan's door and reported him to the police. Brody was initially falsely accused by Dylan of sleeping with Betsy, leading to tension.
