Walkers has unveiled three limited-edition crisp flavours inspired by the 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup, including English Bangers and Mash, Walkers Wavy Spanish Queso, and Walkers Max Portuguese Chorizo and Onion. The Bangers and Mash flavour has sparked debate online over whether mashed potato should be turned into a crisp.
Alongside Walkers, Doritos is launching a Mexican Beef Tacos flavour, and Wotsits Golden Balls will feature a new Smokin’ Cheese flavour with a football-themed makeover. The limited-edition snacks will be available for a short time ahead of the tournament.
Buyers can win instant prizes, including merchandise, with two grand prizes of £10,000 each. Rob Pothier, portfolio marketing director at Walkers, said the range aims to help retailers capitalise on football fever and drive category growth during the World Cup.
