A seller on Vinted has left users baffled after listing a top from Sainsbury's Tu clothing range for £74. The listing was discovered by a TikTok user named Soph, who shared screenshots of the item and her conversation with the seller.
The green 'tie up baby doll top' was priced at £74, rising to £78.40 with Vinted's Buyer Protection fee. When Soph asked the seller to confirm the price, the seller replied that they were happy to accept offers. Soph suggested the seller may have priced the top high because it resembles designer styles from brands like Hollister.
Commenters on Soph's video expressed shock at the price, with one noting that the top appeared 'worn and tatty'. Another said they struggled to sell Jane Norman items for £5, questioning how such items get sold. The top was briefly listed as sold but later relisted at £68 (£72.10 with fees). The seller described it as 'extremely rare' and 'highly sought out'.
The seller's page also features designer items from Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, and Aeropostale, mostly priced between £30 and £50. The seller has since updated their bio to reference the TikTok video, writing: 'Yes, I've seen the TikTok #unemployedfinalboss'.
