Boden has issued an urgent recall for several styles of girls' wide leg trousers due to a risk of cuts. The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) warned that cracked poppers at the waist could develop sharp edges, posing a hazard to fingers and legs.
The affected products, sold between July 1 and October 31 last year, include styles with codes G5531 and G4865 in sizes 2-3 years up to 7-8 years. The trousers fail to meet the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
Consumers are advised to stop using the trousers immediately and return them to Boden for a full refund. Boden has set up a returns hub to process refunds and apologised for the inconvenience.
Customers can identify affected items by checking the PO number on the care label. Those who purchased the trousers as a gift should ask the recipient to contact Boden's customer service team.
