Many companies run schemes that reward existing customers with discounts or money for bringing in new customers. Energy firms, banks, gyms, and phone and broadband providers all offer such deals, letting households earn extra cash. Energy and banking referrals
Energy companies often give cash, bill credits, or gift cards when you refer a friend. This could be useful as the energy price cap rises. Fuse Energy is currently offering you and your friend £100 each. Octopus will give you both £50, applied to your energy bill. British Gas offers a £50 Amazon voucher to you and your friend if they switch gas and electricity supplies. Even if your friend switches just one supply, you'll both receive a £25 gift card.
Certain banks also give free cash for referrals, and you could cash in on multiple offers if you hold accounts with different banks. Chase is offering you and your friend £50 credited to your rewards balance, which can be transferred directly into your current account. Monzo pays out depending on what your friend signs up for: £50 each for a Monzo Business account, or between £10 and £50 for a personal account. Revolut offers a referral bonus ranging between £10 and £200. Cineworld offers money off its Unlimited membership if you refer a friend. The membership costs upwards of £12.99 a month but lets you watch unlimited films at no extra cost. Go Ape also has a refer-a-friend discount scheme, giving you and your friend a 15% discount when they sign up to make a booking.
