Tesco has announced the return of its Kids Eat Free scheme, which will be available at 332 stores across the UK from Monday. The offer runs throughout the May half-term, excluding weekends.
Customers with a Tesco Clubcard can get one free Kids Hot Meal Deal, Kids Breakfast, or Kids Pick ‘n’ Mix deal for every adult menu item purchased. This means a family could spend as little as 65p on an adult item and receive a free kids' meal.
The offer applies per adult item, so families with multiple children can benefit. For example, an adult buying a toastie, fruit, and coffee could claim three free kids' meals.
Claire De Silva, head of communities at Tesco, said: 'We know that household budgets can be really stretched over school holidays, so offering free meals to children during this time is just one of the ways we can support families.'
The initiative follows Chancellor Rachel Reeves' announcement of measures to make holidays more affordable, including VAT cuts on attractions and free bus travel for under-16s in England during August.
Popular kids' menu items include Egg & Soldiers, Omega 3 Fish Fingers, and the Pick ‘n’ Mix deal with a sandwich, drink, snacks, and fruit.
