Around half a million Tesco Clubcard members are sitting on unspent vouchers, with some potentially worth up to £100. These vouchers can be used for money off in-store or for discounts with Clubcard partners such as Disney+, Thorpe Park and Pizza Express.
How Clubcard vouchers work
Shoppers earn vouchers by scanning their Clubcard at the till. For every £150 spent over time, they receive 150 points, which converts into a £1.50 voucher. Vouchers can be found in the Clubcard app and scanned at the till in Tesco stores, or used on fuel at Tesco filling stations and Esso sites with a Tesco Express.
Unspent vouchers and potential savings
Tesco group membership and loyalty director Shama Wilson said: "If you really want to make the most of your Clubcard, then check how many vouchers you are sitting on – you could be missing out on big savings on holidays, meals out or days out, or even the chance to get Disney+, cinema tickets or magazine subscriptions without spending a penny."
When vouchers are spent with reward partners, they are worth double the amount, and with some companies, triple. For example, £100 in vouchers can be exchanged for £300 to spend at seven restaurant chains, including Pizza Express and Bella Italia.
Other Clubcard benefits
Clubcard holders can also collect 300 Virgin Points with £1.50 in vouchers to spend with Virgin Red, unlocking discounts on hotel stays, flights and cruises. Another offer is English Heritage, where vouchers can get double the value on memberships, granting access to over 400 historic places in England.
Retail experts revealed earlier this year that the Tesco Clubcard is the most popular supermarket loyalty scheme in the UK, with more than 20 million users. Customers also enjoy lower prices on many products, including meal deals, when they scan their Clubcard at the till.
