Thousands of Santander customers have reported an outage this afternoon, with many users unable to log into the banking app. According to Downdetector, the majority of users are having trouble accessing their personal and business accounts via the app and on the web.

One customer asked: "Anyone else having problems logging in to Santander? Can't log in on app or computer." Another said: "Can't logon with app or PC. Online chat seems broken as well."

More than 2,800 people have reported problems with Santander's online banking this afternoon. Customers say they are unable to log in to the mobile app or access their accounts via the web.
