Sainsbury's is giving Nectar members a 50% discount on a variety of kitchen essentials this weekend, though the offer won't last long.
The supermarket chain has confirmed it's slashing prices by half for Nectar cardholders on selected fruit and veg, including sweetcorn, peppers, mushrooms and mangoes, delivering fresh seasonal produce at reduced prices over the Bank Holiday weekend. This promotion marks the first in a series of four consecutive weekend Nectar Prices events scheduled throughout late August and September, "helping customers save on fruit and vegetables as the new school term begins".
Bank Holiday weekend savings
Valid until Monday, August 31, the deal allows Nectar shoppers to purchase a selection of seasonal favourites at reduced prices this weekend. From packed lunches and after-school treats to midweek family dinners, Sainsbury's said its latest promotions will "help make fresh fruit and vegetables a more affordable choice as customers settle back into routine".
Richard Crampton, Commercial Director, Fresh and Convenience at Sainsbury's said: "We know customers are looking for great value without compromising on the quality of the food they bring home. That's why we're offering half-price Nectar Prices on selected fruit and vegetables, making it easier to put fresh, nutritious food on the table over the Bank Holiday weekend and beyond."
