Primark Recalls Baby Soother Clips Over Choking Risk

Primark has issued a recall for its Baby Bear and Balloon Soother Clips due to a choking hazard. The products fail to meet the General Product Safety Regulations 2005, posing a particular risk to children under 36 months who may place them in their mouths.

The affected items were sold between June and August 2025 (bear design) and March to September 2025 (balloon design). The clips feature wood-effect buttons that can detach, creating a choking risk.

Primark has removed the products from shelves and its website, advising customers to stop using them immediately. The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) recommends keeping the items out of children's reach and returning them to any Primark store for a full refund.

In a statement, Primark apologised for the inconvenience and urged customers to spread the word about the recall, especially if the product was given or sold to others. The OPSS regularly issues recalls for unsafe consumer goods, excluding food, medicines, and vehicles.
