M&S £10 Surprise Food Bag TikTok Review

A savvy shopper has taken to social media to share his brutally honest review of a £10 'Too Good To Go' surprise bag from Marks & Spencer, and the internet has had a lot to say about it.

The Viral M&S Food Bag Unboxing

Content creator Carmie Sellitto, who boasts over 1.3 million followers on TikTok, managed to snag one of the sought-after bags from his local M&S. The concept behind the Too Good To Go app is to sell surplus food from retailers at a discount, combating food waste. Shoppers pay a set price for a mystery bag, not knowing what items they will receive.

In a video posted from his car, Carmie unpacked his haul, providing a live taste test and rating for each product out of ten.

Carmie's Item-by-Item Verdict

He started with red velvet pancakes, which he described as tasting 'like sponge' and awarded a solid 8.5 out of ten.

Next were toffee meringues, which proved to be a hit, scoring a high 9 out of ten.

The savoury items followed, with honey and mustard mini sausages impressing him enough to also earn a 9 out of ten.

One of the more unusual finds was a pack of 'Walter the Sausage Dog minis'. Carmie expressed bafflement at the creation but admitted the cute cake was decent, giving it a 7 out of ten.

A mini shepherd's pie was sampled next. While he thought it tasted good, he argued it would be better with cheese, resulting in a 6 out of ten rating.

Other items included piri piri British chicken slices (8.5/10), Japanese-style fried onion mini milk buns (7/10), and some standout lemon and sultana Danishes, which he loved, ranking them 9.5 out of ten.

The final item was a quiche, which Carmie openly admitted he dislikes. True to his review style, he tried it anyway and gave it a low 2 out of ten.

Viewers React to the Viral Food Review

The comment section on TikTok was flooded with reactions. Many were impressed by the quantity and quality of the items he received for just £10.

One user commented, 'I'd love to try an M&S Too Good to Go, but I've never seen one where I live,' while another wrote, 'I'm beginning to think these are not real too good to go bag. the contents are always sooo good.' A third simply stated, 'Your M&S went in!'

However, a significant number of viewers were horrified by one particular aspect of the taste test. Several people called out Carmie for eating certain items, like the shepherd's pie, while they were still cold.

'Hold on…. Did you just eat cold shepherds pie?' one person asked, echoing the thoughts of many. Another viewer said, 'Genuinely horrified by the treatment of the shepherds pie. why would you do that.'

The video, posted on 16 November 2025, highlights the growing trend of using apps to find budget-friendly food while also reducing waste, even if the methods of consumption sometimes raise eyebrows.
