YouTuber Ciaran Carlin has conducted a taste test of chicken tenders from major fast food chains, ranking KFC as the best. The test included offerings from McDonald's, KFC, Popeyes, Butchies, Taco Bell, Wingstop, and others.
Carlin described McDonald's Chicken Selects as 'embarrassing', comparing them to 'eating cardboard' and giving them a score of 1.5 out of five. In contrast, he praised KFC's chicken strip as 'absolutely unbeatable', awarding it 4.9 out of five.
Popeyes' spicy chicken strip was noted as 'quite oily' but 'fantastic' while eating. London-based Butchies received a 'good' rating for its coating. Wingstop's chicken fingers were initially deemed 'sad' looking but won Carlin over with taste.
Other chains tested included Honest Burgers, Gregg's, Taco Bell, Jollibee, and Slim Chickens. Carlin concluded that KFC narrowly beat Slim Chickens to first place, with Jollibee coming third.
