The Ministry of Chocolate has issued an urgent recall for its New York Inspired chocolate bar due to an undeclared allergen.
The bar, which contains milk chocolate with a peanut butter and jam filling, is stocked by independent food retailers across Australia. Customers with a gluten allergy or intolerance are warned not to consume the product.
In a statement, the company said: "Any consumers who have a gluten allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed. Consumers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund. Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice."
The Ministry of Chocolate, a family-owned business, produces high-quality chocolate on-site and supplies luxury hotels, wineries, grocery stores, and specialty outlets. The company started at farmers' markets in Melbourne.
