The National Lottery Lotto draw was hit by a technical glitch on Tuesday night, leaving players waiting to find out if they had won the £8.4 million triple rollover jackpot.
The live stream of the draw suffered a fault, preventing the numbers from being read out. The prize had swelled after no one matched all six main numbers in recent draws.
Online fault reporting service Downdetector recorded a spike in reports of problems around the time of the 8pm draw. The Thunderball numbers were drawn successfully: 4, 5, 30, 35, 36 and Thunderball 9.
It remains unclear when the Lotto numbers will be announced. Camelot, the operator of the National Lottery, has been contacted for comment.
