Kate Moss Distances Herself from 'Nothing Tastes as Good as Skinny Feels' Comment

Kate Moss has distanced herself from her controversial mantra 'nothing tastes as good as skinny feels', nearly a decade after it sparked accusations of promoting eating disorders. In a recent interview with NBC's Megyn Kelly, the British model appeared uncomfortable when the quote was mentioned, describing it as merely a 'jingle' shared among friends.

The quote first appeared in women's fashion website WWD in 2009, where Moss was asked if she had any mottos. She replied: 'There are loads of mottos. There's 'nothing tastes as good as skinny feels'. That's one of them.' The phrase was quickly adopted by pro-anorexia websites, leading to widespread criticism.

Now 44, Moss believes the modelling industry has improved, noting 'there's so many different sizes and colours and heights'. She also reflected on her early career, admitting she was uncomfortable with topless shoots at age 14, and said she would not allow her 15-year-old daughter to do the same.

Moss, who now heads her own modelling agency, says her partying days are behind her. She told the interviewer: 'I go to bed, I drink lots of water, not too much coffee, and I'm trying to cut down on cigarettes.'
