Home Bargains has issued an urgent product recall for Lay's Sour Cream & Dill Crisps after undeclared allergens were discovered. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) announced the recall, warning consumers with milk or wheat allergies not to eat the product.
Recall details and affected batches
ASR Solutions Ltd is recalling Lay's Sour Cream & Dill Crisps because the snacks contain milk and wheat, neither of which is listed on the packaging. This poses a potential health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk, milk constituents, wheat, or gluten, as well as those with coeliac disease.
The affected product is Lay's Sour Cream & Dill Crisps in 125g packs, with best before dates up to and including October 31, 2026. These were sold in Home Bargains stores.
Consumer advice and refund process
Consumers who have bought the crisps and have any of the mentioned allergies are advised to stop eating them immediately and contact Home Bargains to arrange a refund. The FSA stated: "If you have bought this product, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from which you bought the product for a full refund."
Customers can return the item to their nearest store for a full refund or contact support@home.bargains for further assistance.
Other recent recalls
Other items recalled recently include a B&Q Table Fan and a face cream sold by Next. The B&Q Table Fan, model FT23A with barcode 5063022605689 and batch numbers 25W50, 26W05, 26W11, sold between March 2026 and July 2026, presents a risk of electric shock and fire due to a fault in the oscillation mechanism that can damage internal wiring over time. This means the product fails to meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016. Consumers are advised to stop using it immediately and return it to their nearest B&Q store for a full refund.
The RIEMANN P20 Hyperpigmentation Defence Face Cream SPF50+, sold by Next, has been recalled due to the product being past its expiry date, meaning the UV filters can break down and fail to provide adequate protection, increasing the risk of sun-related skin damage and sunburn. Affected customers have been contacted directly by Next. For questions, contact the Next Customer Services Team on 0333 777 8000.
